The Ontario Association of Certified Home Inspectors Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Walsh as President effective June 5, 2013.
Chris worked for the Province of Ontario for over 33 years, and subject to several transfers with the Government, he has literally worked from one end of the Province to the other and from the North to South. Chris has seen his fair share of Government activity and will be well placed in future discussions surrounding the professional development of the Home Inspection industry.
After his government engagements Chris worked on home renovations and deck construction before he set his sights on Home Inspections. Chris has a first hand and full understanding of the level of commitment needed to partake in the education needed to make a truly professional Inspector.
Chris has noted on many occasions that the public perception is that Inspecting homes is easy.
In his own words “After countless courses (and counting) nothing is farther from the truth. The more courses I take, and the more inspections I perform, the less I realize I know. This gives me the drive to keep learning about the Home Inspection industry.”
The board recognizes that passion and determination in Chris, and is proud to announce his appointment in the office of President of OntarioACHI, as a replacement to his predecessor, and trust he will be supported by the members of the Association.
