We had a phone conference with the MGCS on Thursday. Things are still are still being worked on behind the scenes. We are still hopeful that the Act will be proclaimed in 2019. We are trying to get a face to face with the Minister so we can emphasise the importance of regulation for the protection of consumers.

We will advise members more as we get the information. Check for updates in the newsletters.

  • In order to extend protection for consumers, OntarioACHI will be continuing our push for short-term radon testing as part of the real-estate transaction. We will be running a concerted advertising campaign over the coming months to increase awareness of the risks of radon in the home and the benefits of having homes tested to identify the potential for radon infiltration, and the possibility radon mitigation might be needed. We will be continuing to certify properly qualified members to the OntarionACHI Certified Radon Measurement Inspector (OCRMI) standard and will be promoting their services as part of our announcements.

Members who are looking to expand their portfolios, advance their business opportunities and increase the level of protection they are offering their clients, will want to attend this course.
