As always, we encourage all Professional Home Inspectors to attend regardless of your association affiliation.
The theme for 2020 will be “Expansion without concession”. We will be covering areas that are not typcally seen at Home Inspector conferences which will provide insights into the following subject matter
- How new inspectors can enter the business without compromising consumer protection or personal liability.
- How established inspectors can build a pipeline to a stronger business
- Obtaining qualifications that can extend your portfolio of services
- Contracts, Agreements, modeling a profitable business and reducing liability
- Working with others to build a valuable business
Day 1 (Tuesday February 25th) of the Educational conference will be given over to all things Commercial. While a standard residential Professional Home Inspection provides $450-$900 per inspection, Commercial Inspections can bring in ten times that amount for qualified Inspectors. Much has been said about this at past inspection conferences, but we are going many steps farther this year with an on-site commercial inspection and a series of sessions that will help Inspectors navigate the standards, contracts, licensing and pricing minefields that Commercial Inspections bring.
We have again chosen to open the exhibition up to the Realtor, Insurance and Appraisal professions for days 2 & 3 of the conference, and again encouraging consumers to come along on 27th to talk to attending Inspectors, stakeholders and other Realty Related professions who are present.
A Home is probably the largest purchase most people will make. Home Inspectors are there to help make sure that purchase is an investment, not a bottomless expense. Come along and find out how we are trying to transform the profession to ensure everyone sees us that way.
